Dery was born and grew up in Bogor. He has three step sisters, but the youngest one died at birth. His parents are now in Bengkulu, West Sumatra. My father and mother sell martabak to help the family income. Dery's biggest passion is photography. What really interested him was having the opportunity to be a part of and learn from some programs in Yayasan Cipta Mandiri  (YCM).

 

His biggest dream is to create his own multimedia company. He decided to join the Bogor Tours group because he wants to improve his English and to interact directly with tourists from various countries. The first time he came across Bogor Tours was when YCM created the program to guide tourists who wanted to learn more about Bogor. He has been to many places around bogor such as waterfalls on mount salak and Bogor Hidden Places. His other activities in YCM besides Bogor Tours is learning about Photography. What he enjoys most about being in Bogor Tours is walking with tourists, speaking in English and sharing my knowledge of Bogor.

 

My favorite fruit is pears and my favorite food is rendang (spicy meat dish).

My favorite place in Bogor is Tugu Kujang, the Botanical Gardens and the mountains overlooking the city. The things I like most about Bogor are the people, the atmosphere and the landscape.
