SEREN TAUN CEREMONY

 

         Seren Taun is an annual traditional sundanese paddy harvest festival and ceremony. This festival was originally held to mark the new agriculture year in sundanese ancient calendar as well as thanks giving for the blessings of the abundant paddy harvest, and also to pray for the next successful harvest. And now we are getting closer to the seren taun, because at third until sixth december will be held in the oldest village in Bogor which is Sindang Barang Cultural Village. So many attractions will be shown like a parade, several performances of traditional dancing, games and puppet show. It’s so  fantastic if can see live. Just once a year this ceremony held.
