Baduy Indigenous Tribe trip

The Baduy tribe is an Indigenous community in Banten, West Java, who restrain themselves from modern culture and technology, and in doing so, strictly practice a traditional style of living. It is one of the Indigenous tribes in Indonesia that is leading a simple life blending harmoniously with nature. Their life is so unique and attractive to be observed as its ancient traditions remained practice since the 16th century despite the modernisation.

A trip to Baduy will give you an opportunity to observe and experience their unique lifestyle and ancient traditions from the 16th century which continue to be practiced today. This trip also guarantees an amazing trekking adventure for nature lovers!

  • Trekking (short, medium or long-distance trails) with highlights being the tree root bridge, rivers, forests, bamboo hanging bridge, weaving village, traditional natural dye colouring and traditional palm sugar making places
