Sindangbarang Cultural Village

 

According to the Sunda kingdom poem manuscript, Sindangbarang is the oldest village in the Bogor area and has existed since the 12th century. It is located just five kilometers from downtown Bogor. Based on the folklore, Sindangbarang was once a small kingdom where the armies of all the Sunda kingdoms trained. It is also a place where art and cultural performances begun, and these traditions continue to be practiced through an annual harvest ceremony and other cultural activities.

 

Sindangbarang cultural village was established by local people to preserve the heritage, culture and traditions. It is a display village where guests can see how the old Sunda village was established long ago. It has been operating as a cultural symbol that represents the uniqueness of Sundanese traditions. There are many interesting activities you can take part in while exploring this cultural village that will surely take you back in time.
